The Surge: An Ode to Sinead O'Connor Newark reviews
No sound for 15 minutes and lots of angry drunk people
It was frustrating having the sound system shut down for at least 15 minutes, impacting both the artists and the fans who paid a LOT of money to listen to a concert of two of the most iconic rocks stars ever. This sort of thing should NEVER happen at a concert venue. Pete and Roger put on a great show, but it will forever be marred by this loss of sound. Unbelievable.
In the stands, fights started erupting everywhere. There were too many belligerent, drunk and high people for security to control. I had an older guy (mid 60's -- OrchF, Row SS, seat 2. We were in Row TT) threaten my 16 year old son when he asked him to move to one side so he could see the stage!!
I've seen four shows this year at Jones Beach, and have one more left on the 26th. I will consider never attending another show if you can't get your act together and make it up to the fans. Please fix these things. It ruins the show for everyone. Its ONE JOB you had and you FAILED!!
